Numerical Study on Track–Bridge Interaction of Integral Railway Rigid-Frame Bridge

Track–bridge interaction (TBI) is an increasingly essential consideration for the design and operation of railway bridges, especially innovative bridge structure systems that constantly spring up over years. This paper focuses on characteristics additional forces in continuous welded rails (CWRs) 3 × 70 m integral rigid-frame Fuzhou–Xiamen High-Speed Railway, which a novel high-speed (HSR) system China. The differential equations rail stress displacement are first investigated integrative analysis model comprising rail, track, piers then established. Secondly, representative illustrated influences different parameters discussed detail. Furthermore, suitable fasteners, optimal layout schemes adjacent bridges reasonable stiffness also studied. results indicate expansion force accounts largest proportion resistance reduction obviously weakens various caused by TBI effect, while broken gap increases greatly. Small fasteners recommended to be applied onto this new type HSR line as these provide reductions stresses CWRs compared WJ-8 fasteners. after adopting span scheme 4 32 simply supported beams less than corresponding other schemes. show there strong correlation between minimum threshold value pier longitudinal lines bridge. work could serve valuable reference detailed safety evaluation bridges.
